علي الشيمي شاعر مصري معاصر، ولد بالمنيا جمهورية مصر العربية عام ١٩٨٠م، وتخرج في دار العلوم جامعة القاهرة، يعمل معلما للغة العربية، وهو عضو اتحاد كتاب مصر، وأنتج " عيناك خط الإستواء " ديوان شعر فصحى عن دار إبداع عام ٢٠١٤م، و"أُقبِّلُ وجهَ سُنبلتي" ديوان شعر فصحى عن دار يسطرون عام ٢٠٢٠م، و"نار القافية" ديوان شعر فصحى صدر عن دار يسطرون عام ٢٠٢٠م، و" انسكاب" مجموعة قصص شاعرة صدر عن دار النسر عام ٢٠٢١م، و" صلاة الوجد" صدر عن دار الجندي للنشر والتوزيع عام ٢٠٢٣م، وله تحت الطبع ديوان شعر فصحى، ومسرحية شعرية، ومجموعة قصص شاعرة.

صدر مؤخرا للشاعر علي الشيمي ديوان "صلاة الوجد" عن دار الجندي للطباعة والنشر والتوزيع..
وصلاة الوجد مجموعة شعرية تتكون من خمسين قصيدة ومقطوعة شعرية، يتجول فيها الشاعر بين حدائق الذات، وجنات الوجدان، ويطوف بخياله حول أسوار الوطن العربي، فيربِّتَ بحنانٍ على كتف السودان الشقيق، ويُطبِّبُ جراح اليمن السعيد، ويحتفل بمرور خمسين عاما على تأسيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، ويطوف بسفينة كلماته وخواطره فوق البحور الشعرية الخليلية؛ ليرسم لنا مجموعة شعرية غاية في الروعة والجمال، حيث أخذ يتنقّل عصفورا من غصن شعري إلى آخر، ومن غرض إلى غرض، فَتَغزّل، ووصف، ورثى، ومدح، وهجا، ونوّع أغراضه، وتقاسم الوطن العربي دقّات قلبه، فتفرّق نبضه في شوارع الوطن العربي، ولم ينسَ قضيته الفِلَسطينية، ولم ينسَ قادة الجيش المصري العظيم، ولم ينس رموز الشعر العربي المعاصر السابقين، وتقع هذه المجموعة الشعرية في ١٠٣ صفحات، وهي المجموعة الشعرية الرابعة، حيث سبق له وأصدر "عيناك خط الإستواء_ ديوان شعر فصحى الذي صدر عن دار إبداع عام ٢٠١٤م"، و " أُقبِّلُ وَجهَ سُنبُلتِي _ ديوان شعر فصحى الذي صدر عن دار يسطرون عام ٢٠٢٠م"، و "نَارُ القافية _ ديوان شعر فصحى الذي صدر عن دار يسطرون عام ٢٠٢٠م"، و" انسِكاب _ مجموعة قصص شاعرة التي صدرت عن دار النسر عام ٢٠٢١م"
