حياته الشخصية :
ولد في بغداد ويحمل الجنسية البريطانية وبدأ حياة الكتابة من عمر ال13 سنة
سيرته الادبية : له مؤلفات مسرحية وروايات وشارك في عدة مسرحيات للاطفال .. وتوقف عشرة اعوام عن الكتابة بسبب الظروف السياسية التي عصفت بحياته ولكنه كان يداوم ويواضب على ارسال مقالاته الى اهم الصحف العربية عندما كان مغتربا .
عندما وصل بريطانيا اهتم بدراسته ومن ثم تم تعيينه كصحفي عام 2012 وبعدها اهتم بنشر خواطره ومن ثم توجه الى تأليف الروايات وكان اول كتاب له "المصير مذكرات مواطن عراقي " وكان من المقرر ان يتحول الى فيلم سينمائي لولا الظروف المأساوية التي مر بالعراق واجلت فكرة تنفيذ الفيلم.

لم يحب في حياته غير امرأة واحدة وكتب عنها العديد من الكتب .. وفضل حياة الوحدة والتفرغ الى الكتابة طيلة حياته .. له عدة جوائز كُرّم بها في لندن ومصر .. وشارك في عدة امسيات شعرية في لندن .. يمتاز اشعاره بالجرأة .

بيارق على رقعة الشطرنج هي رواية سياسية اخرى للروائي المشهور رياض القاضي والذي تم ترجمة اعماله الى اكثر من ست لغات عالمية ، وهي امتداد لرواية احدب بغداد ، التي صدرت عام ٢٠١٥ والتي ترجمت الى لغات عالمية عديدة ، هذه الرواية امتزجت بها الواقع مع الخيال والسحر ، تحكي سيطرة المليشيات على عقول اغلب المواطنين والاحتلال الامريكي الذي بات يعيش صراعا عسكريًا دمويا مع الاحزاب الموالية للدول التي تسعى لبث الفتن في ارجاء البلاد وزج كل من يعارضها في السجون وتحكي ايضا قصة الشريحة التي تم زرعها في يد الدكتور عمر الذي يزور العراق حاملا معه مشروع البناء ولكن الاحزاب تسعى لخطفه من اجل الحصول على مستندات اخفاها والده ، والرواية صراع بين الاحزاب والاستخبارات البريطانية التي تسعى من خلال عميلها كاميليا لاخراج عمر من المأزق .
Pawns on the Chessboard is another political novel by the famous novelist Riyad Al kadi , whose works have been translated into more than six international languages, and it is an extension of the novel The Hunchback of Baghdad, which was published in 2015 and translated into many international languages. Militia control over the minds of most citizens and the American occupation, which is now living in a bloody military conflict with parties loyal to countries that seek to sow discord throughout the country and imprison all those who oppose it.
It also tells the story of the chip that was implanted in the hands of Dr. Omar, who is visiting Iraq carrying a construction project with him, but the parties seek to kidnap him in order to obtain documents that his father hid.
And the novel is a struggle between the parties and the British intelligence, which seeks through its agent Camellia to get Omar out of the impasse.
