إن لكل مُتصدٍّ للفتوى خاصة ولكل متفَقِّهٍ عامة حاجةً ملحّة إلى (علم القواعد الفقهية) لا تُنكَر ولا تُجحَد، فقد قال الإمام القرافي: "كل فقهٍ لم يُخرَّج على القواعد فليس بشيء"، وأمَرَ أمير المؤمنين عمر بن الخطّاب رضيَ الله عنه بتطبيق هذا العلم؛ فقال فيما رُوِيَ عنه: "اِعرِف الأمثالَ والأشباه، ثم قِسِ الأمورَ عندك".
ومن المعلوم والمقرَّر أنّ كتاب "الأشباه والنظائر" للعلامة ابن نُجَيم رحمه الله هو أجلّ وأهمّ تأليفٍ للسادة الحنفية في علم القواعد والضوابط الفقهية، إلا أنّ فيه طولاً، فجاء هذا التجريد ليمهّد الطريق للمتفقّهين إلى هذه القواعد والضوابط، لكي يمكن لهم حفظها وإتقان أهمّ تطبيقاتها ومتعلّقاتها. وقد صُدِّرَ هذا التجريد بمدخلٍ إلى (علم القواعد الفقهية) توطئةً له، وليترسّخ في ذهن الطالب لهذا العلم نظرةٌ حاويةٌ لأهم ما تمسّ إليه حاجته فيه. وأُردِفَ الكتاب بمَسْرَد لجملة قواعد كتابَي "الأشباه والنظائر" و "مجلة الأحكام العدلية" ليَسهُل حفظُهما على الطلبة والمتفقّهين.
