هذا الكتاب أول تحقيق علمي رصين لـ " الأرجوزة الميئية" في ذكر حال أشرف البرية صلى الله عليه وسلم، اعتمد فيه المحقق الكريم على سبع نسخ خطية، يكشف هذا التحقيق القناعَ عن شخصية صاحب المنظومة الحقيقي، وهو القاضي محبّ الدين ابن الشِّحْنة الحَنَفي (749-815هـ)، ويبيّن الخطأ التاريخي في نسبتها إلى ابن أبي العزّ الحنفي (731-792)، بالأدلة القاطعة والحجج الناهضة بما لا يدع مجالاً للشكّ في ذلك.
وللناظم ابن الشحنة منظومة أخرى في السيرة النبوية سمّاها "سير الحور إلى القصور". وقد ألحق المحقق بتحقيقه للمنظومة الميئية شرحًا وجيزاً للمنظومتين المذكورتين، وزان جِيد كتابه بتقاريظ لعدد من أفاضل أهل العلم.
