فاجعتي يا "ليلك" هي أنني حاربت بكل ما أوتيت من ضعف وقوة، حاربت بكل ما استطعت من حب ومشاعر، حاربتُ بكل ما أوتيت من طاقة، ولهذا السبب كانت الخسارة كبيرة.

أصبحت بلا جيش أحارب به، وبلا وطن أنتمي إليه، واستسلمت لكل ما يريد أن يختلجني من شعور..
لم يعد في عيني الماء ماءً ولا العيش عيشاً، سأتزوج قريباً وسأصبح مثلهم خاضعاً لقوانين العشيرة.
أخشى أن لا أجد استقراري في ذلك الزواج كما يقولون.
أخشى أن تصبح أحلامي كوابيساً تخنقني في نومي وفي يقظتي. أخشى أن يصبح الشرف ضعفاً، والإشراق غياباً. أخشى تصبح الحياة متاهات لا بداية ولا نهاية لها.. أخشى أن تنعدم مشاعري إلى الأبد، ويصير الحب جنساً.
