هذا الكتاب يتناول مكانة الملك فى مصر القديمة وقدسيتها، وكيف نسب نفسه إلى الآلهة فصار ابناً لها، وكيف أُلِّه بعد موته، والبحث فى كنه لقب "فرعون" ومدلوله وأصله، و"الفرعونية" وما تتصف به من صفات استحقت بها اللعنة والذم، ثم نعرج إلى دراسة لبعض الآراء والفروض التى حاولت تحديد هوية ذلك الفرعون الذى تنسب إليه هذه الفرعونية الملعونة.
