يحوي هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه منظومتين مفيدتين في علم العقائد، على مذهب السادة الماتريدية، لعالمين جليلين من أصحاب الإمام أبي حنيفة، من أهل ما وراء النهر، الأولى: هي المنظومة المسماة "عقود العقائد في فنون القلائد"، للعلامة أبي المحاسن محمد بن أبي بكر الشَّرغيّ المعروف بإمام رادَهْ (491-573هـ)، وهي من أقدم المنظومات العَقَدية وأطولها، على الإطلاق، فقد نُظمت سنة 560 هجرية، وتقع في نحو 770 بيتاً، تتميز بسهولة الألفاظ، وحسن الترتيب، وزيادة التفريع والتفصيل، مع التدليل في مواضع، والرد على المخالفين في أخرى.
وثانيهما: منظومة رائية الوزن، نظمها العلامة الفقيه أحمد بن أبي مؤيد النسفي، تقع في 81 بيتاً، وهذه المنظومة في الأصل مقدمة على نظم ناظمها للجامع الكبير للإمام محمد بن الحسن الشيباني. وكلا هاتين المنظومتين تُحقَّقان لأول مرة، وقد جمعهما المحقق في هذا العمل لما بينهما من علاقة تاريخية وعلمية.
