يتناول هذا الكتاب موضوعًا فقهيًا مهمًا، وهو الحالات التي تبطل فيها الصلاة على الإمام دون المأموم، وهي أربع عشرة حالة، اعتنى بنظمها غير واحدٍ من الفقهاء، كان منهم العلّامة الشيخ أحمد بن موسى البيلي. ثم قام العلّامة البيلي بشرح أرجوزته هذه، كما شرحها العلّامة الأمير الكبير، والعلّامة أبو البركات الدردير، إلا أنه لا يمكن الاستغناء بأحد هذه الشروح عن الآخر؛ لأن لكل واحد منها مزية؛ إذ اهتم الناظم في شرح أرجوزته بضبط ألفاظها وإعرابها إلا أنه لم يتوسع في الفروع الفقهية كما عند الشيخ الدردير الذي اهتم ببيان المسائل الفقهية وتوجيهها. أما شرح العلامة الأمير فقد تميز بضبط أبيات الأرجوزة من حيث الوزنُ وتوجيهها، كما عُني ببيان فقهها والتعقيب على الشرحين السابقين بما يدل على وقوفه عليهما ودراسته لهما. لهذا كان إخراج هذه الشروح الثلاثة مجتمعةً أدعى لانتفاع بهذه الأرجوزة.
