(بعدَ الاطلاعِ على هذا الكتابِ الماتعِ وجدتُه مِن أحسنِ الكتب التي اهتمَّتْ بشرح «جمع الجوامع»، وفيه مِن الفوائدِ ما فيه، التي تخلو منها جُلُّ شروح «جمع الجوامع» إن لَم نَقُلْ كلَّها؛ ذلك لأنَّ المؤلف رحمه اللهُ كان ذا شخصيةٍ متفردةٍ مستقلَّةٍ، يجمَعُ بين قوَّةِ الحجةِ وكثرةِ العِلمِ، وسَعَةِ الاطلاعِ على مصنَّفاتِ الفَنِّ، وعلوم الآلةِ، وتمكُّنَه في ذلك كلِّه؛ مما مكَّنَه مِنَ التفرُّدِ بشرحه هذا، حتى إنك تَجِدُ المعنى عنده فتُرِيدُ أن تَقِفَ عليه مِن شروح غيرِه فلا تَجِدُه، فتدركُ أنَّه أبو بكرتِه، وأنه مِمَّا فُتِحَ عليه به ولم يكُن لغيرِه؛ لذلك كان هذا الكتابُ مِن الأهميةِ بمكانٍ، وكان تحقيقُه وإخراجُه مِن غياهب مكتباتِ المخطوطاتِ، مما تَمَسُّ الحاجةُ إليه؛ لِيَتِمَّ النفعُ به).
