هذا الكتاب محاولة للوقوف على الخطأ التاريخي الكبير الذي يقع فيه أي حاكم إذا اعتقد ولو لحظة واحدة أن أية قوة عظمى خارجية يمكن أن تضمن له الاستمرار في السلطة، لأن الضمانة الوحيدة هنا هى شعبه، والتاريخ شاهد على هذه القوى العظمى وكيف تغدر بأصدقائها، وتراهن على البديل لتبدأ اللعبة من جديد!!
