هي من الدراسات التي أجريت من مجمع اللغة العربية الأردني بدعم اللجنة الوطنية الأردنية للنهوض باللغة العربية للتوجه نحو مجتمع المعرفة
حاولت هذه الدراسة الكشف عن واقع اللغة العربية في جامعة مؤتة التي اتخذت أنموذجًا يمثل الجامعات الرسمية والخاصة في الأردن، لوضع استراتيجية شاملة للنظام التعليمي في الجامعات كافة. وقامت الدراسة على عينات من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين والطلبة. ورصدت الوضع اللغوي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس من خلال محاضر مجلس العمداء ومجالس الكليات ومجالس الأقسام والكتب المؤلفة والمجلات والنشرات التي تصدرها الجامعة ومن خلال محاضرات أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الكليات الإنسانية والعلمية. ورصت الوضع اللغوي لدى الموظفين ولدى الطلبة من خلال رسائل الدكتوراه والماجستير وأوراق امتحانات الطلبة في مستويات الدراسة كلها، وتقاريرهم ومبادراتهم الشعرية والنثرية. وقد هدفت الدراسة من خلال العيناتالمختارة إلى رصد الأخطاء الإملائية والنحوية والصرفية والصياغية والمعجمية، ورصد الظروف التي تكتنف تدريس العربية في الكليات المختلفة، وتجري في ظلها الممارسات اللغوية المتعددة.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى وجود مشكلة لغوية متنوعة المظاهر متعددة الجوانب في مستوى الجامعة، وهي تتمثل في ضعف الحصيلة اللغوية في النحو والإملاء، وفي الصياغة اللغوية الركيكة، وفي غياب الضبط والترقيم، وطغيان العامية واللغات الأجنبية في بعض كليات الجامعة، ولا سيما الكليات العلمية.
