رواية شارع الخرز تضم العمل الأدبي الأول الذي يؤرخ ثورة تشرين في إطار رومانسي اجتماعي سياسي وتضم الرواية 17 فصلاً تتناول حال المجتمع العراقي، الرواية اقتحمت الخطوط الحمراء، تحت عناوين شيقة منها “عصّا الخيزران” و”عمتِ مساءً ايتها الحرب” و”رنيم” و”ليلة سقوط أبي” وعناوين اخرى، وتدور أحداث الرواية حول قصة حب ابتدأت من ساحة التحرير في بغداد، بطلتها شابة تدعى “رنيم” والتى تقع أسيرة الحب في قلب شاب يدعى "بشير" الرواية تضم قصة حب واقعية اضافة للخيال الرومانسي
