إنَّ هذه المجموعة تضم نخبة من القصائد التي عاصرتُ أحداثها، وذقت تجاربها، فهي في جلِّها تجارب أدبية صادقة، تنُمُّ عن ترجمة ذاتية لمسيرتي في الحياة، لذا أسميتها ب (مرافئ القافية) وهي تمثل محطات شعرية، لكل منها ظروفها المختلفة، ودوافعها المتضاربة، فكرا وموضوعا، أطلقت فيها عنان قريحتي ؛لأجد في فرات جداولها الرقراقة ما يروي غليلي ويطفئ ظمئي؛ ولأعثر في ظلال واحاتها الوارفة، ما يشفي صدري، ويبرئ علتي من خلال لذة التصوير، وحلاوة الوصف، وروعة التعبير، ممزوجة بحرارة الشوق، وذكريات الماضي، وماضي الذكريات آمالا وآلاما، ووحشة الغربة التي أناخت عليَّ بكَلكَلها قرابة عقدين من الزمن أو زد عليه قليلا، وقد ألهبت ظهري بسعير سياطها لوعة وحرمانا واصطبارا؛ لأجد نفسي بعد هذه الرحلة السندبادية المحفوفة بالمخاطر، والمبثوثة بالخواطر، وبعد كدّ طويل في ظلال الكلمات: لغة، وبلاغة، وعروضا، أكتشفت بأن الشعرفي حقيقته، هو أثقل من الجبال، وأوعر من الصخور، وأعذب من الزلال، وأرق من النسيم، (فهو تمثال الشعور، ومرآة النفس، وصور التصور، ورقة الأنفاس، وقوَّة، العواطف، ونُبل المواقف)، فهو رسالة إنسانية نبيلة، يُحمِّل صاحبَه همَّاً يؤَرِّقه، وشعورا منبثقا ًعن ضميرٍ يؤنِّبه جرَّاء مايشاهد من مآسٍ وويلات ومظالمَ يندى لها جبين الانسانية.
