ما كان لهذه الطبعة (الثانية) ان تتم وتكون حافزا لي في تغيير بعض من فصول هذا الكتاب، وتنقيحها وزيادة بعض الملاحظات على صيغتها التي ظهر بها في طبعته الاولى في العام 2010 لولا الاهتمام المتزايد بالنص التسعيني وفترة التسعينيات الخصبة في الشعر العراقي من طلبة الدراسات والمشتغلين في حقول الشعر والثقافة، الذين يسعون بشكل جدي الى تلقف اي مادة تتعلق بمنجزات ذلك الجيل وما نتج عنه من ازاحات شعرية ونمط اشتغال- اقل ما يقال عنه- انه لافت للانتباه ومميز وذو تأثير على مجمل ما ندعوه بظواهر الشعر العراقي، ما سبق منها على تجربة الجيل التسعيني، وما تلاه من مجاميع وتجارب في قصيدة النثر العراقية، الامر الذي نعدّه واحدا من موجبات الفخر لاولئك الذين اخذوا على عاتقهم ترسيخ هذا النص واستقراره في متون الشعرية العراقية.
