ان التأريخ الاسلامي مازالت فية صفحات كثيرة مطوية ولم يسلط الضوء عليها,وهناك صفحات اخرى قد تعرضت للتشوية من قبل بعض الكتاب المسخرة للعبث بتاريخ الامة,وهذا هو الجزء الاخطر فأنها تحتاج الى تمحيص وتدقيق. ولا اخفي المعاناة التي يعاني منها الباحثون في تاريخ المغرب اذ ان كثيرآ مما ورد في المصادر العربية من اخبار على قلتها خصوصآ في الحقبة المحصورة مابين الفتح الاسلامي وقيام دولة المرابطين,يعوزها الدقة والترابط ويكتنفها الغموض,فأن قسمآ منها يصل الى حد التناقض الكبير بين تلك الروايات,وان قسمآ كبيرآ ممن كتب عن تاريخ المغرب الى عصور متاخرة عن تلك الاحداث مما اوجد صعوبة في التوفيق بين تلك الروايات والاحداث.
