فالقرآن كلام الله المعجز، أنزله على عبده ونبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم هدى وبيانا للناس، فأودعه أسراره، وكنوزه، وجعله ميدان سباق الأفهام، وهدى لمضلة الأنام، وجعل فيه على كل حادثة دليلا أو إشارة، وهذا القرآن متضمن لمراد الله تعالى من عباده أمرا، ونهيا، فكل الشرع إنما مرده إلى القرآن، فكان على العباد أن يفهموا هذا الوحي ويعتنوا به إذ لا سبيل إلى ربهم موصل إلا الذي دل عليه هذا الكتاب، ولما كان هذا القرآن معجزا بإطلاق، كان من إعجازه أن يكون له وجوه، وأن تحتمل اللفظة الواحدة من المعاني والأسرار ما لا يحيط
