أبو بكر الرازي (251 - 313 هـ = 865 - 925 م)
محمد بن زكريا الرازي، أبو بكر: فيلسوف، من الأئمة في صناعة الطب. من أهل الري.
ولد وتعلم بها. وسافر إلى بغداد بعد سن الثلاثين. يسميه كتاب اللاتينية (رازيس).
Rhazes أولع بالموسيقى والغناء ونظم الشعر، في صغره. واشتغل بالسيمياء والكيمياء، ثم عكف على الطب والفلسفة في كبره، فنبغ واشتهر. وتولى تدبير مارستان الري، ثم رياسة أطباء البيمارستان المقتدري في بغداد.قال أحد معاصريه: كان شيخا كبير الرأس، مسفطه. وكان يجلس في مجلسه ودونه تلاميذه، ودونهم تلاميذهم، ودونهم تلاميذ أخر، فيجئ المريض فيذكر مرضه لأول من يلقاه، فان كان عندهم علم وإلا تعداهم إلى غيرهم، فإن أصابوا وإلا تكلم الرازي في ذلك. وعمي في آخر عمره. ومات ببغداد. وفي سنة وفاته خلاف، بين نيف و 290 و 320 هـ له تصانيف، سمى ابن أبي أصيبعة منها 232 كتابا ورسالة. منها (الحاوي - خ) في صناعة الطب، وهو أجل كتبه، ترجم إلى اللاتينية وطبع فيها، و (الطب المنصوري - خ) طبع باللاتينية، و (الفصول في الطب) ويسمى (المرشد - ط) نشر في مجلة معهد المخطوطات.
و (الجدري والحصبة - ط) و (برء الساعة - ط) رسالة، و (الكافي - خ) و (الطب الملوكي - خ) و (مقالة في الحصى والكلى والمثانة - ط) و (الاقرباذين - خ) و (تقسيم العلل - خ) و (المدخل إلى الطب - خ) و (خواص الأشياء - خ) و (الفاخر في علم الطب - خ) و (الباه ومنافعه ومضاره ومداواته - خ) و (سر الصناعة - خ) طبعت ترجمته اللاتينية باسم (الأسرار) و (أسئلة من الطب - خ) و (تلخيص كتاب جالينوس في حيلة البرء - خ) و (منافع الأغذية ودفع مضارها - ط) وكتاب (الفقراء والمساكين - خ) و (جراب المجربات وخزانة الأطباء - خ) و (الخواص - خ) رسالة، و (مقالة في النقرس - خ) و (القولنج - خ) و (مجموع رسائل - ط) نشرته الجامعة المصرية، يشتمل على 11 رسالة، وكتاب (من لا يحضره الطبيب - خ) بالمدينة. وفي مكتبة Marciana بالبندقية، مجموعة من (رسائله) في الطب (رقم 157 = 107 = 41) لم يتسع وقتي لفحصها. وللدكتور داود الجلبي الموصلي كتاب (محمد بن زكريا الرازي - ط).
