تدور “مملكة مليكة” حول شاب يبدأ في البحث عن جده الغائب منذ عام 1972، مُستعيناً بمذكراته التي أرسلها قبل زمن بعيد ولم يهتم بها أو يقرأها أحد من أبنائه، ما بين إهمال، وغضب، وخوف من مواجهة ما تحويه من أسرار، قد تنجلي بها مسببات رحيله. ومن خلال رحلة البحث عن المذكرات، ثم قراءة فصولها، تتقارب الأسرة من بعد شتات طويل، ما بين اغتراب الأرض واغتراب النفس، لتجمع الأوراق ما فرقه الزمن، ويرتحل الجميع في قراءة لمذكرات “إبراهيم البنداري”، التي انصهر في فصولها الواقع بالخيال، ما بين معاناة جيل الستينات بأكمله، وتحطم آمال العشق على عتبات اختلاف الأديان، وارتحاله الغرائبي رفقة “مليكة”، التي تبزغ في حياته في ذروة ذلك كله، لتنتشله من واقع فقد فيه دوافع البقاء، وتدور به عبر أجساد سكنتها روحه عبر التاريخ، تاركة لها مهمة استكشاف نقاط التلاقي، بين ماضيه البعيد، وماضيه القريب.
