شهرزاد لبنان هو موضوع هذا الكتاب، القصة القصيرة فى إبداعات قاصات لبنانيات، ما تسرده الكاتبة فى لبنان وما تجسده عبر مخيلتها الحكائية منذ الإرهاصات الأولى وحتى آخر ما توصلت إليه القصة عند كاتبات هذا المشهد الآن، هى المختارات التى تم اختيارها من عدد من المجموعات القصصية إضافة إلى بعض الدوريات العربية التى تنشر إبداعات القصة القصيرة اللبنانية، وفى اعتقادنا أن هذا النصوص القصصية المختارة إنما تعبر وتجسد مخيلة الكاتبة اللبنانية فى هذا المجال الماكر المراوغ، عن ماهية الذات الأنثوية وعلاقتها بالآخر، عن صورة الحرب والمقاومة على كل الأصعدة، عن الأحداث اليومية البسيطة المؤثرة فى الذات وفى أوجه الحياة المختلفة، نفس الحكاية التى حكتها شهرزاد لشهريار لتفدى بها بنات جنسها هى محور هذه المختارات، هى الخصوبة الأنثوية الخارجة من رحم المخيلة عند المرأة فى هذا القطر العربى الشقيق، هى الحساسية الحكائية التى تصنع قصصها فى مواجهة فك العزلة عن طبيعة المجتمع وعن القضايا الملحة التى تحتاج إلى رؤية فنية وأدبية لشرح خطوطها وتقريب ملامحها ومعالمها إلى المتلقى فى كافة التوجهات.
