يتناول الكتاب حقيقة مرض السرطان، والنظريات التي تفسر نشأته، وأسبابه وكذلك مسبباته المختلفة من المسرطنات وغيرها مما يواجه الإنسان في حياته منها سلوكيات خاطئة، أو من خلال الوراثة، وآلية حدوثه، كما يعطي الكتاب نبذة عن الأغذية المسببة للسرطان، وكذلك الأغذية التي تقي من السرطان . هذا ويستعرض الكتاب طرق التشخيص المختلفة للسرطان والحديثة منها، وكذلك العلاجات التلقليدية وما يصاحبها من أعراض جانبية ضارة بالإنسان، وكذلك طرق الوقاية من الإصابة بالسرطان، وكذلك التوصيات التي نصحت بها الهيئات المتخصصة في تناول بعض الأغذية أو تجنب أغذية أخري كإجراء وقائي من حدوث السرطان، هذا إضافة إلي أن الكتاب يستعرض أحدث الإستراتيجيات التي تناولها الباحثون خلال هذا العام 2017، منها استخدام النانوتكنولوجي في ذلك، كذلك يتناول الكتاب بعض التطبيقات الحديثة الناجحة في علاج بعض السرطانات المختلفة التي تصيب الإنسان، كما يتناول الكتاب أحدث الدراسات والأبحاث في علاج السرطان بأنواع العلاجات المختلفة، منها العلاج الكيميائي والعلاج الهرموني والعلاج الإشعاعي، هذا ويتطرق أيضاً للعلاجات الحديثة والتي تدخل فيها الهندسة الوراثية والتعديل الجيني تسمي العلاج الجيني، هذا إضافة إلي طرق علاجية مختلفة تستأصل جذور السرطان، حتي لا يعود مرة أخري بعد العلاج، علماً بأن الأبحاث الحديثة والمذكورة سواء التي تختص بتشخيص أوعلاج السرطان قد تمثل حافزاً ونقطة انطلاق للباحثين من الشباب العرب ليضيفوا أو يبتكروا المزيد منها.....
