علقت الكاتبة على فصول الكتاب بإيجاز حيث تحدثت عن الفكرة العامة للكتاب وما يهدف له، وبدأت بالحديث عن المقدمة التي جعلت فيها أورشليم تتحدث عن نفسها لأول مرة وتخيلتها تعرف نفسها بعدة أسماء لها أبعاد تاريخية، أو أوصاف عرفها القراء عنها في قصائد غنائية، وقالت أنها مدينة السلام التي لم تعرف أبداً السلام، وأن أورشليم قررت التمرد لكي تصنع على أرضها سلام حقيقي لتحقق ما فشل فيه البشر، وأنها ستمنح نفسها لأهل سلام حقيقين، وأنها ستبدأ تاريخها الجديد برجل وأمرأة أسمهما أقمر وقمر.
