اعتمد هذا العمل في المقام الأول على التعاون في نهاية الستينات، بين سينمائي و رسام . و يتعلق الأمر أيضا بلقاء بين رجلين وحرفتين ذات صلة بالثقافة حول مشروع ونظرة تكاملية لثورتنا الفتية انطلاقا من عمل خيالي . لقد كان اهتمامنا يتجه أكثر نحو تكريم جميع المقاومين الجزائريين بدلا من الاقتصار على الحقيقة . ففي تلك الفترة كان هناك سينمائيون متمرسون على الحرب تعلموا فن السينما في الجبال، وسينمائيون شباب أمثالي، تكونوا بعد الاستقلال . لقد اخترت بحرية استلهام قصة الدورية المزيفة التي ترسخت في العام 1956 في أذهان الجزائريين وقوات الاحتلال . كما ألهمت هذه الواقعة الكبيرة أيضا ذاكرتي كمراهق وتركت في نفسي آثارا لا تمحى . وبتوقيع القصة المصورة وانجاز الديكور ، يكون دونيس مارتيناز قد ساهم بقسط كبير في هذا المشروع .
