ترقيم آيات الكتاب أمر عظمه الله سبحانه وتعالى فهو فضاء واسع من المعلومات، إنه العلم الذي يحيط بكل معاني آيات الكتاب فكل آية مرقمة حسب مضمون الآية، وحتى نبلغ الآية في ذلك علينا قبولها بمعرفة مضمونها، ومضمون كل آية إنما مرتبط بموضوع السورة، هذا وقد يكون فقه الآية بالضرورة الحتمية رجوع لتسلسل الآيات وبالتالي أمر يستوجب علينا فقه الآية التي بعدها وقبلها وأحياناً يستوجب علينا ذلك فقه كل السورة ومغزاها وحتى سبب النزول حتى نستخلص بدقة دون شوائب فقه ترقيم الآية.
