أهداف الدراسة.تسعى الدراسة إلى تحقيق الأهداف التالية: 1-التعريف بمفهوم تطبيقات الهواتف الذكية لخدمات المكتبات ، وإمكاناتها المتطورة ومميزات استخدامها لإتاحة خدمات المكتبات. 2- إلقاء الضوء على الخدمات المقدمة بتطبيقات الهواتف الذكية للمكتبات وكيفية توظيف إمكانات الهواتف الذكية لتوفير أساليب تكنولوجية جديدة لم تكن موجودة من قبل لإتاحة الخدمات بمرافق المعلومات . 3-حصر تطبيقات الهواتف الذكية المستخدمة بالمكتبات الجامعية العربية،ودراسة خصائصها العددية والفئوية والجغرافية و طرق الحصول عليها. 4- تطبيق نموذج مقترح للمعايير التى يمكن أن يسترشد بها العاملين بالمكتبات الجامعية لتقييم تطبيقات الهواتف الذكية لتقييم التطبيقات المستخدمة بالمكتبات الجامعية العربية ومعرفة عناصر القوة ومواطن الضعف بتلك التطبيقات ومدى حاجتها الى التطوير. 5- تقديم التوصيات التي من شأنها تحسين جودة تطبيقات الهواتف الذكية بالمكتبات الجامعية العربية والتوسع في استخدامها.
