رواية (أنجلينا فتاة من النمسا)، للكاتب الجزائري البريطاني مولود بن زادي، نلمس أن المؤلف سعى لتقديم الشخصية البسيطة عبر البطل شفيق، الشاب الجزائري الذي هاجر إلى إنجلترا قبل اندلاع الحرب الأهلية في الجزائر عام 1991. وقد اتسمت الشخصية بالوضوح والبساطة وخلت من التعقيد واللف والدوران. فشخصية شفيق واحدة ثابتة تلازمه من بداية الرواية وحتى نهايتها ويبقي سلوكها معروفاً للقارئ، فلا يتوقع المتلقي تغيرا جوهريا في موقفها من الأحداث.
