هدفت الدّراسة إلى التّعريف بنظريّة العامل في النّحو، وبيان الأبعاد الوظيفيّة لها في التراكيب مما يبين أهمية علم ال نّحو والإعراب في لغتنا العربية بما لا يدع مجالاً للعابثين بالدعوة إلى التقليل من شأنه، والحطّ من قدره؛ وهو الذي عليه المعوّل في عملية الفهم والإفهام التي ترتبط بإرثنا الحضاري في أمور الشرع والدين. كما هدف البحث لبيان علاقة علم الصّرف بنظرية العامل من خلال معرفة المشتقات العاملة التي يدرسها طلبة العلم في أبواب الصّرف وقوفا على البنية الصّرفية، ثمّ يدرسها في باب النحو عاملة وهو بيان لوظيفتها، فنجد من يختلط عليه الأمر إن لم يتبيّن مفهوم الإعمال، والمراد بنظرية العامل في النّحو، فهنا المعوّل على أهل التخصص في هذا العلم ببيان موضوعاته بما يناسب عصرنا الحالي بعيدا عن التعقيدات التي تجعل هذا العلم الشريف مستصعبا على سهولته. تفرع عنهما كما سيتضح خلال العرض
