• حصل على البكالوريوس من كلية التجارة بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1963.
• تلقى تعليمه العالي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الإدارة من جامعة منيسوتا عام 1966، ثم حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الإدارة العامة من الجامعة الأمريكية بواشنطن في مطلع عام 1970.
• تدرج في السلك الأكاديمي فحصل على درجة أستاذ عام 1979.
• عمل عميداً لكلية التجارة , وكلية العلوم الاجتماعية , وكلية الدراسات العليا، مستشار في عدة هيئات علمية, وعضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة العربية للإدارة, ومجلة العلوم الاجتماعية.
• له العديد من المؤلفات والدواوين الشعرية.

يتناول الكتاب خمسة أبواب الأول تعريف بالعلم وتاريخه وفوائده والثانى المجالات التى يمكن تطبيق هذا العلم فيها والثالث والرابع اثنين من تلك المجالات لكن بتفصيا أكبر وهما الطب والزراعة والباب الخامس المخاطر الناتجة عن اللعب على الترتيب الذرى للمواد ومستقبل هذا العلم .
