• ولد في المدينة المنورة بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
• حصل على البكالوريوس من كلية التجارة بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1963.
• تلقى تعليمه العالي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الإدارة من جامعة منيسوتا عام 1966، ثم حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الإدارة العامة من الجامعة الأمريكية بواشنطن في مطلع عام 1970.
• تدرج في السلك الأكاديمي فحصل على درجة أستاذ عام 1979.
• عمل عميداً لكلية التجارة , وكلية العلوم الاجتماعية , وكلية الدراسات العليا، مستشار في عدة هيئات علمية, وعضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة العربية للإدارة, ومجلة العلوم الاجتماعية.
• له العديد من المؤلفات والدواوين الشعرية.

الأحواز دولة خليجية غنية بالنفط تقع تحت الاحتلال الإيراني منذ 81 عاماً، وتسمى عربستان أو خوزستان أو عرب الهولة، ويطلق على هذا الإقليم اسم الأهواز بالفارسية لأن الفرس لا ينطقون حرف الحاء العربي وتتكون الأحواز من المحافظات التالية: الفلاحية، المحمرة، عبادان، الحويزة، الخفاجية، البسيتين، معشور، الخلفية وتستر.
