إن الربا نظام متغلغل في أعماق النفس البشرية منذ تسلط الشيطان على بني آدم وغير فطرتهم , فزين لهم الإشراك بالله , وزين لهم الفواحش ما ظهر منها وما بطن , ودعاهم إلى أكل الأموال بينهم بالباطل , وقد تخصص اليهود في أكل أموال الناس بالباطل وأخذ الربا وقد نهوا عنه فاستحقوا غضب الله ولعنته وكان من نتيجة ذلك أن قام الاقتصاد العالمي على نظام ربوي دعامته البنوك الربوية التي يقوم نشاطها على الإقراض والاقتراض فتتلقى البنوك أموال المودعين بفوائد محددة ثم تقوم بإقراضها للمستثمرين وغيرهم بفوائد أكبر وتعتمد في أرباحها على الفارق بين الفائدتين وقد انتقد القرآن الكريم طريقة اليهود وبين أن الله تعالى عاقبهم في الدنيا فحرم عليهم طيبات أحلت لهم ونعى على أحبارهم ورهبانهم أنهم ما أنكروا عليهم .
