قدم للقارئ العربي العزيز هذا الكتاب .والذي يتناول اتحاد الهانزا وأثره علي الحياة الإقتصادية والإجتماعية في أوربا في القرنين الرابع عشر والخامس عشرالميلاديين. متضمنا الحديث عن نظام النقابات في القرن الثالث عشرالميلادي وما بلغته من نفوذ سياسي واقتصادي واجتماعي كذلك.إلي جانب الحديث عن الهانزا واتحاد المدن الإلمانية،إذ تضمن التعريف بمعني الهانزا وتطور المصطلح في أوربا وأهمية هذا الإتحاد للتجار وللتجارة حيث تضامنت مدن هذا الإتحاد معا من أجل تحقيق الأمن والحماية والدفاع المشترك وتعزيز نفوذها كذلك.بالإضافة إلي اتخاذها كافة الوسائل اللازمة من أجل التقدم الاقتصادي لتجارتها من خلال ما حازته من امتيازات ومعاهدات جعلت منها قوة جبارة داخل المجتمع الأوربي في العصور الوسطي.ومكنتها من التصدي للملوك الذين حاولوا الإنتقاص من امتيازاتها مثلما حدث مع فالديمار الرابع ملك الدنمارك إذ تمكنت من فرض نفوذها السياسي والتجاري علي الملوك الاسكندنافيين.وقد تضمن هذا الكتاب دور منظمة التيوتون في اتحاد الهانزا تلك المنظمة التي سيطرت علي بروسيا وتمكنت من بناء قوة سياسية واقتصادية وعسكرية جعلت لها السيادة علي مناطق شرق أوربا وحوض البلطيق الشرقي ومن خلال الإنضمام للعصبة الهانزية فقد تمكنوا من تحقيق سيطرة تجارية ناجحة .وكذلك تناول الحديث عن المراكز والمحطات التجارية الهانزية التي تمكنت الهانزا من اقامتها في الخارج في لندن وبيرجن ونوفجورود والتي أعطت دليلا واضحا علي نجاح الهانزا في تدعيم علاقاتها مع الروس والنرويجيين والفلمنكيين والإنجليز ومكنتهم من تحقيق الاحتكار التجاري كذلك.وما قامت به من تطوير للنظم والمعاملات التجارية لخدمة عملياتهم التجارية مما أدي للإزدهار التجاري خاصة مع ايجاد عملة متحدة للتعامل .إلي جانب امتلاكها لقوات عسكرية خاصة برية وبحرية وقيامها بدور فاعل في الإثراء الحضاري من خلال تعبيد الطرق وتأميناها وشق الترع والقنوات وتشييد الكنائس الفخمة وتشجيع العلوم والآداب.وقد عُد هذا الاتحاد أقوي اتحاد تجاري ظهر داخل أوربا في العصور الوسطي لذا فهو جدير أن يكون مثلا يحتذي به الآن ولعل السوق الأوربية المشتركة حاليا هي خير مثال علي ذلك .
