• ولد في المدينة المنورة بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
• حصل على البكالوريوس من كلية التجارة بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1963.
• تلقى تعليمه العالي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الإدارة من جامعة منيسوتا عام 1966، ثم حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الإدارة العامة من الجامعة الأمريكية بواشنطن في مطلع عام 1970.
• تدرج في السلك الأكاديمي فحصل على درجة أستاذ عام 1979.
• عمل عميداً لكلية التجارة , وكلية العلوم الاجتماعية , وكلية الدراسات العليا، مستشار في عدة هيئات علمية, وعضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة العربية للإدارة, ومجلة العلوم الاجتماعية.
• له العديد من المؤلفات والدواوين الشعرية.

تصميم الجرافيك نهج إبداعي يقوم به مصممّ بمفرده أو مجموعة من المصمّمين لابتكار عمل فنيّ مرئيّ، ويهدف إجمالاً لإيصال رسالة معينة لفئة مستهدفة، وذلك تبعاً لطلبات العملاء أو الزبائن، وحاجتهم من العمل، سواء أكان التصميم مطلوباً لإنشاء مواقع إلكترونية، أو واجهات التطبيقات، أو منتجات التعبئة والتغليف وتصنف هذه المهنة كواحدة من المهن الصعبة، والمربحة، إذ يحتاج صاحبها لتعلم الأساسيات في التصميم كبداية، ثمّ تطوير أسلوب خاصٍ به .
