• حصل على البكالوريوس من كلية التجارة بجامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1963.
• تلقى تعليمه العالي في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الإدارة من جامعة منيسوتا عام 1966، ثم حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الإدارة العامة من الجامعة الأمريكية بواشنطن في مطلع عام 1970.
• تدرج في السلك الأكاديمي فحصل على درجة أستاذ عام 1979.
• عمل عميداً لكلية التجارة , وكلية العلوم الاجتماعية , وكلية الدراسات العليا، مستشار في عدة هيئات علمية, وعضو في هيئة تحرير المجلة العربية للإدارة, ومجلة العلوم الاجتماعية.
• له العديد من المؤلفات والدواوين الشعرية.

هو محمد طلعت بن حسن محمد حرب ولد فى25 نوفمبر 1867 - 13 - أغسطس 1941 اقتصادي ومفكر مصري، كان عضوًا فى مجلس الشيوخ المصري، وهو مؤسس بنك مصر ومجموعة الشركات التابعة له، يعد أحد أهم أعلام الاقتصاد في تاريخ مصر ولقب بـ أبو الاقتصاد المصري فقد عمل على تحرير الاقتصاد المصري من التبعية الأجنبية وساهم في تأسيس بنك مصر والعديد من الشركات العملاقة التي تحمل اسم مصر مثل شركة مصر للغزل والنسيج ومصر للطيران ومصر للتأمين ومصر للمناجم والمحاجر ومصر لصناعة وتكرير البترول ومصر للسياحة وستديو مصر وغيرها.
