إنَّ تنوّع مظاهر النّبوغ في شخصية سليمان الجِربي، قد رسّخت لديه جدوى جعل تخصص البلاغة العربية في خدمة فنون أخرى من العلم كالمنطق والجدل، ومن حسن حظّنا أن حفظت لنا يد الزّمن هذه الحاشية النفيسة والتي هي بين أيدينا اليوم، لتكون شاهداً على طفرةٍ مغربية برزت في مصر المحروسة، وبلغ مداها أقطاراً عدّة في المشرق والمغرب؛ هذا وإن ذاع صيت هذه الحاشية حين تأليفها في القرن العاشر الهجري، فقد ظلّت بعد ذلك مغمورة إلى أن رأت النور مرة أخرى محققة ومنشورة، ويشاء الله أن تحفظ خزانات المخطوطات بصحراء الجزائر الحبيبة النسخة المنقولة من نسخة المؤلف في مصر، وتنتقل نسخ منها إلى بلاد فارس والقوقاز والشام وفلسطين والعراق مشرقاً، وإلى المغرب الأقصى وليبيا وتونس مغرباً، لتكون بصمة هذا العالم الجِربي لبنةً تضاف إلى صرح من خدموا اللغة العربية من أنباء المغرب الكبير، وذلك منذ عرفوا الإسلام والعربية ولا يزال منهم بقيّة إلى اليوم .....
