Book Description
الحسين بن عبد الله بن رواحة الحموي شاعر مجيد، وأحد الشعراء الأعلام في العصر الأيوبي في القرن السادس للهجرة. عاش في زمن نور الدين زنكي الملك الشهيد الذي أمضى عمره في التصدي للصليبيين ودرء خطرهم. وكان الشاعر ذا حظوة لديه، وكانت له مكانة رفيعة عنده. وإثر وفاة نور الدين سنة 569هـ، ذهب ابن رواحة إلى مصر وأقام في ظل صلاح الدين البطل الذي ذاد عن حمى الدين والديار، وتصدّى للغزو الصليبي في مرحلة من أصعب المراحل التي مرت على الأمة، وكان الشاعر مقرباً من صلاح الدين ونال لديه مكانة مرقومة مماثلة للمكانة التي كان يحظى بها عند نور الدين، وكان مقرباً أيضاً من وزيره القاضي الفاضل الذي كان معجباً بشعره، وكاتبه الأثير العماد الأصفهاني الذي كانت تربطه به صداقة حميمة.
