في هذه الثلاثية العودة من المدن الكبيرة الى القرية قرية الدلتا هي قرية الريف المصري كله حيث التاريخ الاجتماعي الذي يدور في الفترة الزمنية من 1940 وحتى 1961 وفى الثلاثية من أيام الكراهية وحتى أمراه من دخان المسلسل الثالث حيث المجتمع المصري في ريفه وقراه وكنوزه ونجوعه في بحوره وصياديه وفلاحيه ودكاكينه واسواقه ... اننى لم أنس حرف في كلمة في جملة هذا الريف المصري رغم فقره ومعاناته فه غنى بإرادته وعاداته وتقاليده اننا اسوق في هذه الروايات الثلاث كل تفاصيل ما في دم ولحم وشحم وعقل هذه القرى وياما هانضحك وياما هابك من الكراهية احيانان ومن الكلاب في أوقات أخرى وثالثة من البحر والصاديين والمراكبية والشيخ ثم يأتي الناس من دخان كما أتت المرة في الرواية الثالثة من دخان هذا المجتمع فلا غاربة ان اتكون أمراه صنعها الدخان كأنه ارضها وسماتها ودنياها ربما لان الدخان يملآ كثير من حياتنا
