معتمد الكتاب على الآيات والأحاديث وكلام السلف في شرح كلام الله وسنة النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام اذا قال الله تعالى -: ﴿ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللَّهِ قِيلًا﴾. فصدق الله العظيم الذي بلغ قوله وحديثه في الصدق أعلى ما يكون، ولهذا لما كان كلامه صدقاً وخبره حقاً، كان ما يدل عليه مطابقةً وتضمناً وملازمة كل ذلك مراد من كلامه، وكذلك كلام رسوله - ﷺ - لكونه لا يخبر إلا بأمره ولا ينطلق إلا عن وحيه.
