قال المؤلف: قد كانت الجاهليَّةُ تعامل المرأةَ معاملةً سيِّئةً، لا تعرف لها حقوقها الإنسانيَّة، وتنزل بها عن منزلة الرَّجل نزولاً شنيعًا يدعها أشبه بالسِّلعة منها بالإنسان، فجاء الإسلام ليرفعَ عنها الظُّلمَ والضَّيم وليعطيها حقوقَها كاملةً غير منقوصة كما هو الحال مع الرَّجل، والإسلامُ حَرَّمَ كلَّ تلك الصُّور المشؤومة والمهينة، وأعطى المرأةَ حقوقَها كاملةً، وجعل العلاقةَ بين الرجل والمرأة علاقة مودَّة ورحمة وأنس، والتعامل بينهما على أساس العشرة بالمعروف.
