كل شذرة رقم وعنوان، ولكل منها بنية خاصة تظهر في طريقة الافتتاح والختام، وتظهر في اكتمال الشذرة واستقلالها ووحدتها الفنية والموضوعية، حتى لو كانت جملة واحدة، ولو كان (الدروبي) من أهل الحداثة وما بعدها لسمّى شذراته شعرًا أو قصائد نثر، ولكنه التزم حدود الكياسة والحصافة فسلك نفسه في نهج الجاحظ مفضّلا تصنيف (النثر) على الشعر، إيمانا بأن مكانة الناثر لا تقل عن مكانة الشاعر، ومن جهة ثانية كأنه يرى أن شروط الشعر ومكوناته مختلفة عما كتبه ورقّشه في هذه الشذرات.
