لقد عشت الحياة عميقاً، نعم عشتها عميقاً، وبكل أبعادها، حتى أنني تعودتها، تعودت فيها على إطلاق العبارة الشهيرة، فلتحيَ يا صديقي: أنا لا أحب ولا أكره، مبدأ فيه التناقض، ولكنني اعتقدت بأن هذا المبدأ هو حد للعدالة، ومهما كانت وجهة نظري فيه، إلا أنه لا يوجد أحد في هذه الدنيا إلا ويكره أن يكون وجوده فيها يمر كمجرد حدث عابر، الكل يبحث عن الخلود الدائم، ولكن كيف يمكن لذلك أن يحدث، فكل الأشياء التي تنشر معلقة على الحبال، لتجف تحت الشمس تذوي وتذبل، ثم تميع أو تذوب وتتحلل، فما الذي سيبقى؟!.. إنها حياتي، حياتي التي تضعضعت فيها كثيراً، بل أقول بكل بساطة،لقد فقدت فيها جذوري كنبتة برية نقية، وتقطعت من شجرة كبريائي شروش الكبرياء والشعور بالذات، وهي جذور مغروسة بعمق يغذيها بئر عميق من الحياء، الأمر الذي يضطرني باستمرار إلى أن أعدل من روائز حياء الكرامة الشخصية المرتفعة لأنني صرت أشعر بنفسي كأنني مجرد دودة، بل وأقل من دودة تعيش بدون حرية في الحركة.
