أيمكن، في أقصى الاحتمال أو في أبعد الخيال، أن تضبح الأمكنة؟ أيمكن لمرابع الصِّبا، وللأوطان، وللمهاجر وما قد يتقلّبُ على المرء الغريب فيها من مراغم وسَعَة، أن تعتلق قلقَ الروح في اضطرابها الدائم وارتحالها القدَري؟ أيكون في طوق الفتى الأردني المختلف بشتّى المعاني أن يضبطَ اضطرابَ الهواجس في عقلٍ صَنْعَتُهُ السؤالُ، وأن يخرج على العالم بمثل هذا الكتاب (السيرة الوثيقة) بكلّ ما يشتمل عليه من وهج الروح وصفاء القلب وعمارة الوجدان؟ تلك كلّها أسئلة تفرض نفسها على قارئ هذا الكتاب الذي يقع من الأدب والفلسفة على المسافة نفسِها، والذي يبسط لنا جوانب من سيرة صاحبه، وما تَعاور عليه من أقاليم الليل والنهار منذ كان فتىً يافعاً يهتضم نفسه الفقرُ على أطراف البادية الأردنية، إلى أن استقرّ تطوافُه في جامعة مؤتة أستاذاً للحضارة، بعد أن تَرامى به طلبُ العلم وشغفُ المعارف مرّة إلى المغرب الأقصى، وأخرى إلى تونس، وثالثةً إلى فرنسا، ورابعة إلى بغداد، وبعد أن احتقب خلاصات تجارب مثقَلاتٍ بالعِبَر والمثُلات.
