الحالة الإجتماعية: متزوج وله خمسة أولاد وحفيدين: مازن وأنس حفظهما الله. إنتهى عمله رئيسا لقسم التاريخ والدراسات الإجتماعية بدرجة مدير عام عمل بقسم التحقيقات والأخبار بجريدة أسوان الإقليمية فى الثمانينيات ثم صحيفة أخبار الصعـيد ويليها جريدة " الأسبوع العربى" ثم مشرف صفحة " متفرقات" بجريدة صدى المستقبل الليبية، وكاتب بمجلة النيل والفرات بمصر ،ومُحاضِر بقصر ثقافة إدفـو فرع أسوان. ألَّف ثمانية عشر كتابا فى الدراسات التاريخية أحدثهم كُتُب

كتاب البدر السافر عن انس المسافر هو عبارة عن مخطوطة من تأليف مؤرخ الطبقات في العصور الوسطى الإدفوي أبو الفضل جعفر بن ثعلب المتوفي عام (748هـ) وهى تراجم لشعراء القرن السابع والخامس الهجري وكل من له نشاط مشهور في تلك الفترة على مستوى العالم الإسلامي وهو من دراسة وتحقيق الباحث التاريخي د / محمد فتحي محمد فوزي. وقد احضر المخطوطة من دولة الفاتيكان وقام بدراستها وتحقيقها والتقديم لها وطبعها. وهى دراسة قيمة وشيقة للباحثين عن التراث والأدب والشعر والتاريخ واصحاب الثقافة العالية في القراءة .
