حاصل على الدكتوراه من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية سنة 1983
درس في كل من جامعات الجزائر، ماليزيا، السعودية والكويت. شغل عدة مناصب إدارية عليا من بينها مدير دراسات وبحوث في المعهد الوطني للدراسات الاستراتيجية الشاملة في الجزائر، ونائب عميد للشؤون الأكاديمية في ماليزيا، ونائب رئيس للتخطيط والبحث والتطوير في الجامعة العربية المفتوحة(المقر الرئيس).
له عشرات المقالات بالعربية والانجليزية في علم النفس والتربية كما نشر عدة كتب من بينها:
المدرسة الجزائر إلى أين (1992)، أسس علم النفس الصناعي التنظيمي (1992)، الإنسان في فكر ابن القيم (2004)، علم النفس المعاصر (2016)، تكامل مصالح الأبدان والأنفس عند البلخي (2019)، الشخصية الجزائرية: دراسة نفسية ميدانية (2020)، مهارات التفكير النقدي لدى طلاب الجامعات العربية (2021).

تعتبر هذه الدراسة حسب علمنا أول دراسة ميدانية مقارنة في موضوع مهارات التفكير النقدي لدى طلاب عدة جامعات عربية. طبق اختبار واطسن جليسر على عينات طلابية من أحد عشر بلدا عربيا وتمت مقارنة أداء الطلاب في خمس مهارات نقدية وهي: التفسير، الاستنباط، إدراك الفرضيات، تقويم الحجج (الأدلة) والاستنتاج بالإضافة إلى مقارنة الأداء الكلي في هذه المهارات.
