عله شيء جديد أن يأتي بمعادلة رياضية بثلاثة حدود وتحاول زجها في أتون شعر متراكم جذاب متناقض ولكنها محاولة والمحاولة قد تفلح.
إن القراءة المتأنية وحتى المتسرعة لشعر مطر ستكشف عن الحدود الثلاثة لهذه المعادلة وهي الشاعر والحاكم والقصيدة وفقاً لرسم رياضي يأخذ الصيغة التالية: الشاعر × الحاكم = القصيدة...
وهكذا فكل لافتات مطر كانت بهذه الصيغة، شاعر يجند ما أوتي من طاقة وما تعلم من فن ضد حاكم يجند ما أوتي من سلطة وما تعلم من دهاء لتخرج قصيدة تفضح هذا وذاك.
لم يدخر مطر وهو الحد الأول في هذه المعادلة ما بوسعه من مكنات وما في قاموسه وقاموس غيره من كلمات ولم يمنع قدماه من ان تلج بسلاسة كل مسلك غير أنه حاول جاهداً توظيف النصوص القرآنية وإستعارة الإيحاء الرباني نطقاً ودلالة ورمزاً فعمد إلى المشهور من السور وركن إلى الميسور من الآيات من غير تفريق بين محكمها ومتشابهها وبين أولها وآخرها مدنيها ومكيها أو سبب نزولها.
وإنما حتى من جدوى إستخدامها فالنص القرآني عند مطر ليس صكاً تعبدياً يتلقفه ناسكاً يجهش بالتقوى ويتوسل بالدعاء، بل هو سلاح من أسلحة الثورة او تشخيصاً من تشاخيص الألم كرس في ذات القصيدة مصطفاً مع غيره من التعابير أما الدلالة اللفظ بمعناه على فعل التأثير والإنفلات أو لتعميق صورة الحزن وتجسيد معاناته.
