يعتبر كتاب "يوري ميخائيلوفيتش لوثمان" المسمى "تحليل النص الشعري بنية القصيدة، الصادر في مدينة ليننجراد سنة 1972م من أهم الوثائق التي استغلت المنظور التحليلي في البحث الأدبي، إلى أنه من أوائل هذه الوثائق ظهوراً، وهو يعكس الموسوعية الثقافية لصاحبه، حيث يفيد إفادة واضحة من مناهج البحث في اللغة والفنون التعبيرية والتشكيلية وشتى الطرز الثقافية العامة، كما يعكس ذوقاً نقدياً وحساً شعرياً بالغ الرهافة، يتجلى في انتقائه لطائفة النصوص شديدة الدلالة على القضايا التي يثيرها، هذا وذاك إلى روح علمية تجريبية واضحة الانضباط ونخشى أن نقول شديدة الصرامة، ولكنه الحسّ العلمي الذي تزرع به "لوثمان"، والذي لا تنحصر مهمته في التماس الحلول لمنظومة القضايا، بل تتجاوزها، بالوضع الصحيح لتلك القضايا، لأن الوضع السليم للمشكلة-هو في التحقيق-بداية حلها.
هكذا كان الوضع الصحيح لقضية المنهج في دراسة النص الشعري هو أبرز ما عنى به وألح عليه "يوري لوثمان" من إشكاليات الدرس الأدبي. والمؤلف لا يكتم حقيقة تعلن عن نفسها في فصول كتابه، حقيقة اتكائه إلى أسس التحليل البنائي للنص الشعري، ولكنه حتى في إطار هذه الحقيقة الواضحة لا يجد ضيراً في أن يضع تحت أقدامنا لغماً علمياً في أن قضية المصطلح ربما كانت أهم العقبات التي يصطدم بها كثير من دارسي الأدب.
