وقد وسمته صاحبه بــ: "إستثمار النصوص الأصيلة في تنمية مهارة القراءة الناقدة"، وهو كما يبدو عنوان طريف معبر دال على محتواه بدقة، محدد لهدفه بوعي منهجي عميق، يظهر من خلاله مدى الرؤيا وبعد الإستبصار لعاملين مترابطين منسجمين بعضهما ببعض هما: عالم النص وعالم القراءة.
النص بإعتباره الحامل الناقل لمفاتيح الوعي في الإنسان والأمة، وبإعتباره أيضاً وحدة تعليمية تجمع بين معارف عديدة لغوية وتربوية ونفسية وإجتماعية لتعشش في رحم النص والأنسجة اللغوية أصواتاً وكلمات وتراكيب، وتفرخ فيصير بذلك النص وحدة معرفية تتفاعل فيها معارف لسانية وغير لسانية، مما يجعله يتجاوز كونه مجرد ظاهرة لسانية إلى مرونة إجتماعية ثقافية أوسع نطاقاً، إنه وسيلة لنقل المعرفة والثقافة له ديمومة عبر الزمان والمكان.
وبالنظر إلى كوننا نواجه ثورة معرفية إجتماعية وسياسية وعملقة تكنولوجية صارت تعم العالم في وقتنا هذا، فإن دور الإتصال العالمي قد تعاظم هو أيضاً، وأصبح كل مجتمع يعيد النظر في حاجياته وأنماط حياته الإقتصادية والسياسية والتنموية في مجالاتها المتعددة، وكل ذلك مرتبط بالقدر الذي يلقونه من المعرفة ونوعها وكيفية إستثمارها في مجالاتها وميادينها المحددة من أجل تأمين مستقبلهم، فلكي تعرف لا بد أن تبلغ الآخر وتتلقى عنه فيحدث التواصل بينكما.
ربما لهدا وسعت الكاتبة من نطاق النص فلم تكتف بدراسة النص الأدبي وحدة، وإنما تجاوزت ذلك لتناول النصوص الأصيلة التي حدثت أو أنتجت في لحظتها لتؤدي وظيفة التعبير عن مقتضى حال من أحوال الحياة المختلفة، فتحدثت عن أنواع عديدة من النصوص، من المقال الصحفي إلى الإعلان الإشهاري إلى الطلب الوظيفي إلى الوصف العلمي... إلخ.
