لقد استطاع يوسف الأبطح في هذه الرواية أن ينقل ما حدث معه، وحوله بكل دقة وأناة، وقد سمحت له المساحة الواسعة للرواية أن ينقل لنا دقائق الأحداث ومركز الشخصيات التي تدور في مداره، ثم تغيب لتأتي شخصيات جديدة تدور حوله ف يفلك بيئته يصورها لنا، ويلونها بأصابعه الذهبية، برسومات يضفي عليها كل مشاعر الألم والحزن والفرح والسرور.
