جرت العادة أن يتم شرح القانون المدني وفق طرق الشرح الفقهية التي تقدم لطلاب كليات الحقوق، والتي كثيراً ما يتم تبويبها وفق شروحات قديمة ومتشابهة، وحيث وجدت أن شروحات المحاكم هي المقياس الواقعي الذي يتم من خلالها بيان توجهات محكمة التمييز الأردنية في تفسيرها لأحكام القانون وهي في العادة يتم تطبيقها من قبل قضاة المحاكم المختلفة، والتي يبني عليها المحامون استشاراتهم ودعاويهم، وبالتالي فإن هذه القواعد تشكل المرجع التفسيري العملي لكل هؤلاء، لذلك رأيت أن أقوم بجمع الأحكام والقواعد القضائية التي فسرت كل مادة من مواد القانون المدني الأردني، وأضفت إليها القواعد القضائية لمحكمة النقض المصرية في تفسيرها لأحكام القانون المدني المصري التي تتوافق مع مواد القانون المدني الأردني، ليتعرف من خلالها القارئ على توجهات القضاء المصري فيما يتعلق بمواد القانون المدني الأردني المتوافقة مع القانون المدني المصري، لتكون المقارنة بينهما ثروة إضافية للمطلع والباحث تفيده في اتخاذ القرار المناسب.
