Book Description
يدور محور الكتاب حول جغرافية العراق السياحية. وقد تضمن ستة أبواب وكل باب يتكون من عدة فصول. تضمن الفصل الأول من الباب الأول نبذة مختصرة من تاريخ العراق ودار الفصل الثاني حول العراق، أصل تسميته ومعناه وأما عن موقع العراق الجغرافي والمساحة والحدود فقد تضمنهما الفصلين الثالث والرابع، ودار الباب الثاني في فصوله الستة حول التركيب الجيولوجي لتربة العراق ودراسة لتضاريس أرضيته ولمنطقة السهل الرسوبي ولمنطقته الصحراوية ولمنطقته الجبلية ولأثر استعمالات الأرض في الأغراض السياحية. وأما الباب الثالث فقد تمّ التركيز فيه وضم فصوله الستة على المواضيع التالية: مناخ العراق وغطائه النباتي وثروته الحيوانية وحول مصادره المائية وأنواعه السطحية والباطنية وأنهاره وبحيراته الطبيعية والاصطناعية وحول السدود والخزانات فيه. وأما الباب الخامس فقد دار حول النقل والمواصلات والنقل المائي في العراق وحول النقل البري لطرق السكك الحديدية وحول النقل الجوي في العراق وحول عناصر العراق الحضارية دار الباب السادس ضمن فصوله التي تضمنت الحديث عن العناصر الأثرية والتاريخية والدينية والفنية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية وحول العناصر والأنشطة العمرانية ومظاهر التقدم وحول النواحي الصناعية والزراعية والغذائية الحيوانية وحول إقامة المنشآت السياحية والفندقية وأخيراً حول العناصر الصحية والخدمات الطبية.
