يجمع هذا الكتاب شتات فتاوى "ابن أبي زيد القيرواني" المتفرقة في مجموعة من الأصول العلمية الفقهية، المطبوعة والمخطوطة، وذلك لتكون قريبة من المهتمين، واجتهد في تبويبها وترتيبها حتى تكون سهلة التناول، ويسهل الأمر فيها على الناظر، فتعم الفائدة، وسمى مجموعها بـ: "فتاوى الشيخ أبي محمد عبد الله بن أبي زيد القيرواني" ت:386هـ، جمع وتحقيق وترتيب.
وقسم هذا العمل إلى قسمين رئيسيين مسبوقين بمقدمة، تحدث فيها عن مفهوم مصطلح الفتوى لغة وشرعاً مع نشر أرجوزة في موضوع الفتوى وما يتصل بها من شروط، وآداب، وغيرها. والقسم الأول: خصصه للتعريف بالشيخ أبي محمد وفتاويه. أما القسم الثاني: فقد اشتمل على مجموعة الفتاوي التي يسر الله في جمعها، مرتبة وفق ترتيب الكتاب الفقهية، من فتاوى الاستفتاء والطهارة والصلاة، إلى كتاب الوصايا والجامع.
