تتناول الباحثة في هذه الدراسة نفسية بني إسرائيل أيام موسى وانعكاساتها أيام الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، وفيما بين عهديّ موسى ومحمد عليها أفضل الصلاة والسلام. وهذه الدراسة تحمل في طيّاتها معلومات جديدة لإثراء "علم النفس" كعلم، من الزاوية الروحية، علماً بأن المنحى الحالي "لعلم النفس" علمانيّ الجوهر إجمالاً ويفتقده بشكل بالغ، للجانب الروحي. وبالوصول إلى تلك النقطة، سوف تركز الباحثة بعض الشيء على نفسية القوم أيام موسى عليه السلام، إضافة لما كانت قد ذكرته باختصار من قبل، ولكن مع ربط ذلك بأخبار قرآنية سابقة عنهم.
تتبّع هذه الدراسة نفسية بني إسرائيل، منذ خروجهم من مصر حتى وصولهم إلى الأرض المقّدسة-كما هو وارد قرآنياً-مبينة تمردهم على الألوهية والنبوة، وعصيانهم البالغ ذروته بالوصول إلى الأرض المقدسة التي لم يحدّدها القرآن الكريم.
ثم تركز على العقاب الإلهي لبني إسرائيل حين افتراقهم عن موسى، وتبيّن، بعد ذلك، ندرة أخذهم بالعبرة، بدليل عودتهم مرة أخرى للتمرّد في زمن الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، مع ما خلّفه ذلك من انعكاسات في الزمن الحاضر.
والدراسة تخاطب الباحث والقارئ العاديّ، وتقدّم لكليهما مادة غنية لا غنى عنها.
